Donations
Under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) governed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), an NGO operating under Prior Permission must strictly disclose its donor and bank account details on its official website.
Donor Information Disclosure Requirements
According to FCRA Rule 13, any NGO receiving foreign funds must place the following donor details in the public domain within 7 days of receipt:

Donor Identity: The official name and registered address of the specific foreign donor approved under the Prior Permission.

Ultimate Donor Identification: If funds are routed through donor-advised funds or intermediary vehicles, the NGO must trace and disclose the identity of the ultimate original donor.

Contribution Particulars: The exact amount of money received and the precise date of receipt.

Purpose: The specific cultural, economic, educational, religious, or social program for which the fund was authorized.
Bank Account Information Disclosure Requirements
NGOs must maintain absolute financial transparency regarding how their authorized funds enter and leave the organization:

SBI Designated Account: The website must reflect the details of the mandatory, exclusive FCRA Bank Account opened at the State Bank of India (SBI), Main Branch, Sansad Marg, New Delhi.

Utilization Accounts: If funds are moved from the primary SBI account to secondary scheduled bank branches for operational deployment, those specific utilization bank accounts must be clearly listed.

Annual Audited Statements: By December 31st of each year, the NGO must upload its complete audited FCRA financial accounts (including the Income & Expenditure Statement, Receipt & Payment Account, and Balance Sheet) for public viewing.
Compliance and Consequences

Failure to upload annual audited FCRA accounts onto the NGO's website attracts a fixed compounding penalty of ₹10,000 per year.

If an NGO does not host an active website, these financial disclosures must alternatively be declared directly on the MHA FCRA Online Portal.
